This week, a few members of our team attended the GEO Business Show in London and showed off the Mesa 2 Rugged Tablet™, along with some exciting new GNSS options (stay tuned for more on that later). The booth stayed busy with lots of visitors for the majority of the time, but our team was able to grab a couple of quick photos in-between all the hustle.

Capacitive touch screen in rain and wet conditions

The capacitive touch screen on the Mesa 2 Rugged Tablet™ is very different from the resistive touch screen on the original Mesa Rugged Notepad™. Capacitive touch screens appear brighter and can provide greater clarity and contrast, increased durability, and multi-touch capabilities. They are also different from resistive touch screens because while resistive touch screens respond to pressure, capacitive touch screens detect and measure anything that is conductive, so that the slight touch of a fingertip or capacitive stylus triggers a response. Mesa 2 Rugged Tablet for Water Resource Our partner, Elecdata, recently tested the Mesa 2 Rugged Tablet™ with several popular water resource software applications and wrote a great review on how it performed.
