Juniper Systems wins 4 Comparably awards for business excellence

Comparably awardsJuniper Systems, Inc. announced Oct. 5 that it won three Q3 Comparably Awards for business excellence, including ranking 9th in the nation among small- to mid-sized businesses for the happiest employees.

Comparably presented Juniper Systems with the Best Companies for Work-Life Balance Award, Best Compensation Award, and Happiest Employees Award. The Santa Monica-based research firm Comparably tracks 45,000 U.S. companies in an effort to “make workplaces transparent and rewarding for both employees and employers,” according to its website. Juniper Systems was among the top 25 small and mid-sized companies in the United States in those three categories.

On Dec. 12, Comparably ranked Juniper Systems among the best small- to mid-sized companies for women.

“We pride ourselves at Juniper Systems for our culture, one that values what happens inside our walls as much as what happens outside our walls,” Juniper Systems CEO DeVon Labrum said. “It’s great to receive recognition for what makes our company so special. Supporting our team by valuing balance and giving a generous benefits and compensation package has been critical to the company’s success and growth.”

Juniper Systems recently announced double-digit growth for the 2018 fiscal year which ended Aug. 31. It is currently constructing a 52,390 square-foot expansion and plans to hire 20 additional full-time employees to keep up with growth.

“Across 45,000 U.S. companies, Juniper Systems stood out as one of the best employers, providing the most competitive salaries and with employees most satisfied with their compensation,” Comparably CEO Jason Nazar said. “Winning the Comparably Best Compensation Award for 2018, showcases the companies most committed to rewarding and appreciating their teams.”

Juniper Systems employees reviewed the company in an anonymous survey conducted by Comparably.

“We have an amazing benefits package – the best I’ve ever had in my whole working life,” one employee wrote. Another employee said, “Juniper focuses on performance so if the company does well they pass on better benefits, bonuses, and pension contributions to employees: paid time off, flexible work schedule, health care coverage with no monthly premiums, and opportunities to participate in sponsored humanitarian service trips.”

“Everyone is kind,” another employee said. “Work-life balance is really important here.”

Juniper Systems was ranked 10th for the Work-Life Balance Award, 19th for the Best Compensation Award, and 9th for the Happiest Employees Award. Months later, Juniper Systems ranked 15th for the Best Company for Women Award and was the only Utah-based company to rank in that category.
