by | Dec 20, 2024 | Company happenings | 0 comments

As the year comes to a close, let us reflect on the highlights of 2024. The Juniper Systems™ team had many reasons to celebrate. From a new rugged tablet and rugged handheld devices, big mapping software updates, new accessories, tradeshows, and charity initiatives, we’ve had a busy year full of amazing changes. Let’s take a look.

Mesa® 4 Rugged Tablet

Juniper took no time waiting around to release product in the new year with the release the all-new Mesa 4 Rugged Tablet in January. Running on Windows 11, the Mesa 4 offers powerful new functionality while retaining impressive features from the Mesa® 3 Rugged Tablet. Multitasking is just a few clicks away with this snappy and efficient CPU processor. Featuring an Intel N200 with a 3.7 GHz burst processor speed and up to 16 GB of RAM, Mesa 4 truly takes your office computer and puts it in your hands. The Mesa 4 Rugged Tablet shapes the capabilities of modern mobile devices. See the Mesa 4 product page for more details.

Archer™ 4 Rugged Handheld

The Archer 4 is the newest release of Juniper Rugged Handhelds. The interest in this rugged device at tradeshows was palpable. We are excited to continue to share the benefits into 2025.

The rugged Android™ handheld operates on Android™ 14 and supports upgrades through Android 18. The Archer 4 is also Google Mobile Services certified to provide users with a reliable platform for running popular data collection software. The Octa-core Qualcomm processor selected for the Archer 4 is an enterprise-class processor, with long-term support through at least 2030. Users can use the device for years, knowing it will stay current with security updates and software advancements. See our Archer 4 product page for more information.

Uinta™ Mapping and Data Collection Software with iOS

This year brought an exciting new update for Uinta users, with a new iOS software option. Designed with a user-friendly interface, Uinta offers a streamlined experience for those creating and sharing projects out in the field. Users can customize templates related to the job, map points with satellite imagery maps, and share data across different platforms.

This new iOS addition allows users to share projects with team members and stakeholders across different platforms. Whether as an Android user to an iOS user, or an iOS to Windows, Uinta GIS mapping software empowers users to collect, create, and share maps and data across all major OS platforms.

Enhance your user experience with hassle-free data collection. Visit our Uinta page for more information.

Geode™ Grip

The Geode GNSS Receiver received a new accessory this year, making collecting geospatial data much more accessible. The Geode Grip is a lightweight tray that holds your field data collection device and Geode GNSS Receiver together in one easy configuration. The tray eliminates the cumbersome challenges of traditional methods of high-precision mapping, such as carrying a pole or attaching the receiver to the body which obstructs the signal. With its ergonomic grip and versatility to hold almost any device, the Geode Grip streamlines data collection, improves precision, and enhances productivity by keeping everything securely in one place. Models are available for the Juniper Systems Archer 4, Mesa® 4 Rugged Tablet, and other Juniper 7-inch rugged devices, as well as adaptions to accommodate the most popular smart devices. Visit the Geode product page to learn more.

Allegro™ Wireless Keyboard

Our last product release of the year was the Allegro Wireless Keyboard. The AWK provides users ease on the job, pairing effortlessly with a variety of devices, including the Archer 4 handheld device and any Apple®, Android™, or Windows™ device up to 8 inches (20cm) in size. Stay connected and productive all day with Bluetooth® 5.0 and a 4500 mAh battery with up to 60 hours of continuous use. Enhance efficiency on the job with a free hand to perform other tasks. Computing freedom is at your fingertips. Learn more on our Allegro Wireless Keyboard product page.

Tradeshows

2024 was an exciting year for Juniper as we attended more events. Each tradeshow buzzed with opportunity as we showcased the Archer 4, Allegro Wireless Keyboard, Geode and Geode Grip, Mesa Rugged Tablets, and Uinta Mapping Software. It was truly exhilarating to engage with top industry leaders and partners. It was an opportunity to make meaningful connections as we fueled each other’s passion and creativity. The excitement of meeting face-to-face with so many driven individuals and seeing our hard work resonate with the crowd has left us more inspired than ever as we gear up for the opportunities ahead.

AMAR International Charitable Foundation

Juniper Systems is a company that strives for a better future. This year we honored our commitment to helping others and caring for communities with our support for the AMAR International Charitable Foundation by donating hand knitted hats and scarves to Ukrainian refugee children living in Romania. Currently, we have shipped 8,300 items and have collected 13,034 items in total.

Families fleeing Ukraine face unimaginable hardships as they are driven from their homes by conflict, often leaving behind everything they know. Many have lost loved ones and their livelihoods. Necessities such as food, clean water, shelter, and medical care become scarce. Families are forced to navigate unfamiliar and often hostile environments, seeking safety and stability while dealing with trauma and loss.

Thank You

As we wrap up the year, we want to thank our amazing partners, customers, and team for the meaningful impact they’ve had. As we gear up for opportunities in the new year, let us look at what is ahead. We are excited to see more opportunities and collaboration in 2025.
