Powerful processing power

The Mesa 3 was built to run the most demanding applications while in the field. At the heart of this rugged tablet you’ll find a new quad-core Intel® Pentium processor. The processor, the Pentium N4200, represents a significant shift in computing power and allows the Mesa 3 to perform CPU intensive tasks in the office and in the field. The device also sports Intel HD Graphics.

One of Mesa 3’s greatest increases in power comes by way of doubling the amount of system memory that supports the processor in its tasks. The Mesa 3 features 8 GB of LPDDR4 RAM, up from the 4 GB of LPDDR3 found in the Mesa 2. Not only is the amount of RAM larger, but Mesa 3 is moving to newer and faster LPDDR4 RAM. LPDDR4 is more power-efficient and runs at higher frequencies which helps feed the processor data quicker. This upgrade in RAM allows the Mesa 3 to run more intensive programs, handle larger datasheets, and have more background programs running than previously possible with 4 GB.

Storage

Storage on the Mesa 3 also sees an increase to 128 GB of flash storage as the standard, and up to 256 GB as an upgrade option. This gives you the space you need for data and programs to get the job done. The Mesa 3 also includes a user-accessible MicroSDXC card slot for expanded storage.

All-day usability

Nothing stops your work faster than a dead battery. Mesa 3 retains the same amazing all-day battery life as the Mesa 2. The included 43.2 Watthour (Whr) removable battery offers 8–10 hours of battery life.

Some days you need to go beyond an 8–hour shift, that is why the Mesa 3 has an option that allows you to hot-swap batteries to keep you moving all day. By adding an optional internal 21.6 Whr battery you provide the Mesa 3 with an additional 4–5 hours of battery and give the device the ability to hot-swap the removable 43.2 Whr battery. Hot-swapping is easy and can be done quickly in the field.
