At Juniper Systems, we’re always working to make field data collection easier, faster, and more flexible. We’ve recently released several updates to Uinta that expand the way you organize, visualize, and export your project data, whether you’re in the field or back in the office. Here’s a quick look at what’s included with the newest features!
Project Folders
Keep your workspace organized with Project Folders. From the Projects screen, you can now create folders to group and manage multiple projects, making it easier to stay organized as your data collection expands. Add, move, or delete folders anytime based on your workflow.
Reference Layers Enhancements
You now have more control over your maps with new Reference Layer options. Users can import additional file types, including Google Earth files (KML/KMZ), SHP files, and GeoTIFF raster images, and store them either locally or in the cloud. Cloud-stored layers are automatically available to all project users, helping teams stay on the same page. The Reference Layers tab also now allows you to order the layers when turned on. Reference layer updates help users differentiate between map data meant to be viewed as a reference vs. map data that can be actively edited “Record Types.”
Expanded Export Options for CAD Users
For users working in CAD environments, Uinta now supports additional export formats. You can export field-collected data directly to DXF and PNEZD (.csv) file types, commonly used formats in surveying. This update increases CAD supported formats for a smoother integration into your workflow.
More Satellite Imagery Options
We’ve also added Stadia Maps and other new imagery options to Uinta’s Online Base Maps. With more choices for satellite imagery, you can select the reference maps that work best for your environment or project.
As always, these updates include bug fixes and performance enhancements to ensure a smoother and faster experience. Contact Us today for more information or if you have any questions!
